India Gate

India gate is the Majestic high arch, 42 meters high, built as a memorial to the India soldiers killed in the World War I, Beneath it burns an eternal flame. From the base of the arch one can get a good view of the Rhtrapati bhavan.

A fascinating and wonderful monument! Enjoy the lush green lawns of India gate, which house the famous boat club and a children’s park. The lawn come alive in the evening with picnicking and couples talking a stroll.

 

 


Qutub Minar

Qutub Minar  is the tallest brick minaret in the world, and an important example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. The tower is the Qutub complex in South Delhi, India. The Qutub Minar and its monuments are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Qutub Minar is 72.5 meters high (237.8 ft) and requires 399 steps to get to the top, although it has not been possible for visitors to ascend the tower for some years, due to safety reasons.

 

 

 


Parliament

Parliament house very close to Rashtrapati Bhavan is situated the imposing Parliament house building another creation of the genius of the Lutyens and Baker. It is a huge circular, colonnaded building where the seasons of parliament are held. It has a dome-shaped circular Central hall and three semi-circular structures, the Rajya Sabha, (Upper House), Lk Sabha (Lower House) and the library. A verandah with as many as 144 columns and the boundary will has blocks of sandstone carved in geometrical patterns, that remind one of the Mugal Jalis.

 


Raj Ghat

Raj Ghat, a memorable of Mahatma Gandhi is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his creation on 31 January 1948. if is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns perpetually at one end. If is located on the banks of the river Yamuna in Delhi, India, A stone footpath flanked by lawns leads to the walled enclosure that houses the memorial. The memorial has the epitaph He- Ram (literally ‘O’ Ram, but also translated to ‘O’ God), belived to be the last world uttered by Gandhi.

 

Lotus Temple

Zoo is an institution where mainly wild and exotic animals are restricted within enclosures, bread and displayed to the public. The terms zoological garden refers to the biological discipline zoology, which derives from Greek Zoo (“animal”). The terms was first used in 1828 for the London Zoological Gardens, soon shortened to the abbreviation “zoo”.
